Philadelphia is now without its starting quarterback for what's expected to be the rest of the season. On Monday, the Eagles and agent Nicole Lynn said Jalen Hurts has deep vein thrombosis and blood clots in both lungs. He'll be on blood thinners and can't do any contact activity while he's on them (per PhiladelphiaEagles.com), and he's expected to miss the rest of the season (per the AP). Tanner McKee starts Monday night against Dallas (per the Philadelphia Inquirer). The Rams will be without Davante Adams for 6–10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring, and kicker Blake Grupe is out for the season with a torn ACL, coach Sean McVay said (per TheRams.com). New England placed Romeo Doubs on injured reserve with a shoulder injury (per Patriots.com). Washington's Terry McLaurin was carted off Monday night with a knee injury that Dan Quinn said could be significant, and scans are set for Tuesday (per NFL.com). Washington has a Week 7 bye.
Several backfields are unsettled. Arizona's Jeremiyah Love (ankle) sat out Sunday and is expected to do some running Tuesday, coach Mike LaFleur said (per ArizonaSports.com). Chicago's Kyle Monangai (thumb, toe) was a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report ahead of Thursday's game (per Bears Wire). Cleveland's Quinshon Judkins (ankle) was inactive against Baltimore (per ClevelandBrowns.com and the AP). Saquon Barkley (hamstring) was inactive again (per the Philadelphia Inquirer). Green Bay's Josh Jacobs was removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List and will get a full week of practice, with his game status to be determined (per Packers.com). Elsewhere, DeMeco Ryans said Tank Dell will play against the Giants (per HoustonTexans.com). Jesse Minter said Lamar Jackson (ankle) is day-to-day and could "potentially" practice this week (per BaltimoreRavens.com). The Giants haven't named a Week 7 starter: John Harbaugh said Monday he is "honing in on a decision" between Jameis Winston and J.J. McCarthy (per NFL.com). Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers, and Washington are on bye.
A check on last week's list: Woody Marks is now rostered in 70.1% of ESPN leagues, above our gate, so he's not repeated here. Germie Bernard (44.5%) caught 11 of 12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown on 94% of snaps at Tampa Bay, so he's still worth a claim if someone in your league dropped him. Pat Freiermuth (57.7%) drew 3 targets, and we're not repeating him.
As always, the order below is Homefield's own read of the usage: snap share, targets, air yards, and touches inside the 20. FAAB bids are given as a share of your season budget. Skill-position adds are rostered in about 60% of ESPN leagues or fewer (stashes far lower), and DST and K streamers in 20% or fewer, so most of these players should be on your wire.
Data note: Weeks 1–6 player stats come from the nflverse weekly player-stats file for 2026 (stats_player_week_2026), through Monday night's Commanders at 49ers (final: SF 23, WAS 17). That file also supplies target share, air yards share, and WOPR. Snap shares come from nflverse snap counts, which are sourced from Pro Football Reference. Red-zone carries and targets (inside the opponent's 20) and the sack and turnover totals behind the DST picks come from nflverse 2026 play-by-play. Week 7 matchups, byes, and points allowed come from the nflverse schedule file. Route data isn't in these files, so route share isn't cited. Rostered percentages are ESPN's public fantasy API figures (percentOwned, default league settings), pulled Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 8:18 a.m. CT. The gates use that pull: about 60% or fewer for QB, RB, WR, and TE adds (stashes lower) and 20% or fewer for DST and K. Panthers D/ST (20.6%) faces Tampa Bay, which has taken 22 sacks and turned it over 11 times, but it sits just over the DST gate and is left out. Homefield's most recent rankings (Week 6, published Oct. 14) were built before these games; the one reference below is to its rest-of-season board.
Quarterbacks
### Michael Penix Jr., ATL (rostered in 11.2% of ESPN leagues) The rib injury from last week didn't slow him down. Against Chicago he went 19 of 33 for 225 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions, and his 325 air yards were his most this season. In four games he has completed 64.5% of his passes for 8.6 yards per attempt, with 6 touchdowns and 1 interception. The drawbacks: he took 5 sacks Sunday, and he adds almost nothing as a runner (7 carries, 5 yards). Week 7 is at home against San Francisco, which is allowing 18.3 points per game.
- FAAB bid: 1–3% in 1QB leagues, 6–10% in superflex
- Fits: Superflex starters, and a 1QB streamer for Jacksonville and Buffalo managers on bye.
### Tanner McKee, PHI (2.6%) — superflex priority Hurts' diagnosis makes this McKee's job for the foreseeable future. His first start was rough: 26 of 45 for 215 yards (4.8 yards per attempt), 1 touchdown, no interceptions, and 3 sacks in a 25–14 home loss to Carolina. He did push the ball downfield, with 358 air yards on those 45 attempts. Philadelphia is scoring 17.7 points per game. The draw is volume and the Week 7 matchup: Dallas comes to Lincoln Financial Field on Monday night allowing 26.5 points per game with only 8 sacks.
- FAAB bid: 0–1% in 1QB leagues, 8–14% in superflex
- Fits: Superflex and 2QB leagues, where a quarterback who's sure to start is hard to find.
### J.J. McCarthy, NYG (0.9%) — superflex only He came in after Winston's second interception and went 11 of 21 for 243 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, all in the fourth quarter, leading three scoring drives (per NFL.com). His 251 air yards on 21 attempts show how often he threw deep. Harbaugh hasn't decided between him and Winston, and practice reps Wednesday should be the next clue. Week 7 is at Houston, which is allowing 23.8 points per game, and the Giants are on bye in Week 8.
- FAAB bid: 0% in 1QB leagues, 1–4% in superflex
- Fits: Superflex benches. Bid only if your league's claims run after the Giants name a starter, or if you have the room to wait.
Running Backs
### Kendre Miller, NO (33.1%) — top priority at RB Miller is now New Orleans' lead back. He played a season-high 44% of snaps and ran 20 times for 70 yards with 4 carries inside the 20 in the 34–27 win over the Giants. Alvin Kamara played 26% of snaps and had 7 carries, though he did catch a touchdown. On the season Miller has 49 carries, 2 rushing touchdowns, 10 red-zone carries, and 4 inside the 5. Efficiency is the weakness (3.1 yards per carry), and he isn't a pass-catcher (2 catches for 0 yards Sunday). Week 7 is against Pittsburgh in Paris, and the Steelers are allowing 21.3 points per game. New Orleans is on bye in Week 8, so bid knowing he'll miss a week after this one.
- FAAB bid: 5–10%
- Fits: Standard and half-PPR first. In PPR he's a flex because of the volume.
### Dameon Pierce, PHI (55.5%) He's still under our gate, and Barkley missed another game. Pierce played 95% of snaps, ran 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown with 2 carries inside the 5, and caught 4 of 5 targets for 15 yards. In two games as the lead back he has 23 carries for 49 yards, so the volume is good but the yardage isn't. Carson Steele left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury (per the Philadelphia Inquirer), so there's even less competition. Dallas is allowing 26.5 points per game ahead of Monday night's game in Philadelphia. If Barkley returns, Pierce goes back to being a handcuff.
- FAAB bid: 4–10%. Barkley managers should go to the top of the range.
- Fits: Every format while Barkley is out. He's best in standard, where the goal-line work matters most.
### Roschon Johnson, CHI (3.9%) With Monangai out, Johnson's role grew again. He played 40% of snaps, ran 13 times for 51 yards and a touchdown, caught both targets for 34 yards, and had 4 carries inside the 20. D'Andre Swift still leads the backfield (58% of snaps, 16 carries, 2 touchdowns), so Johnson is the second back in a split. Chicago hosts New England on Thursday, and the Patriots are allowing 18.8 points per game. Your claim has to clear before Thursday night, and Monangai's practice status this week is what to watch.
- FAAB bid: 2–5%
- Fits: Half-PPR and PPR flex in 12-team and deeper leagues. He's a Swift handcuff everywhere.
### Bam Knight, ARI (0.3%) With Love out, Knight was the more effective back in an 18–16 win over the Rams. He ran 15 times for 80 yards (5.3 per carry) with 4 carries inside the 20 and 1 inside the 5, and he caught both targets for 18 yards on 44% of snaps. Tyler Allgeier played more (56% of snaps) but ran 18 times for 38 yards. Everything depends on Love: if he can't go Sunday against Denver, Knight should split the work again. The Broncos are allowing 20.8 points per game and have 18 sacks.
- FAAB bid: 2–5%. Love managers can go higher.
- Fits: Deeper leagues and Love handcuffs. Bid after you see Love's practice status, if your league allows it.
Wide Receivers
### Omar Cooper Jr., NYJ (3.0%) — top priority at WR The rookie came off injured reserve (high-ankle sprain) and played 82% of snaps at New England. He caught 6 of 7 targets for 103 yards and a 48-yard touchdown from Geno Smith, his first NFL touchdown and first 100-yard game (per NewYorkJets.com). He had 89 air yards, 35.5% of the Jets' total, and a 0.61 WOPR, 20th among 224 players who drew a Week 6 target. Adonai Mitchell (finger) has missed four straight games (per the AP), which should keep Cooper on the field next to Garrett Wilson. Week 7 brings Miami to MetLife, and the Dolphins are allowing 26.4 points per game with 4 sacks all season.
- FAAB bid: 8–15%
- Fits: Every format. He's a flex this week in 12-team leagues, and a better fit in half-PPR, where the deep targets count most.
### DeMario Douglas, NE (13.8%) Doubs' IR stint opens up work for Douglas. Sunday he caught 7 of 8 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown, with a 26.7% target share, 27% of the air yards, and a 0.59 WOPR on 59% of snaps. He has 3 touchdowns in his last two games and 20 catches on 30 targets for the season. A.J. Brown played 76% of snaps Sunday and was listed as limited with an ankle injury on Monday's estimated report (per Patriots.com). Doubs has to miss at least four games on IR. New England plays at Chicago on Thursday, so your claim has to clear before kickoff. The Bears are allowing 19.8 points per game.
- FAAB bid: 5–10%
- Fits: PPR first, as a weekly flex while Doubs is out.
### Keenan Allen, IND (39.1%) He led the Colts with 11 targets (a 28.9% share), catching 8 for 82 yards, with 104 air yards and a 0.59 WOPR on 71% of snaps. That's 40 targets in five games. Indianapolis won't open Alec Pierce's (heel) practice window this week (per the Indianapolis Star), and Tyler Warren (groin) was inactive Sunday (per Colts.com), so the targets are concentrated. He was already WR29 on our Oct. 14 PPR rest-of-season board, before this game. The Week 7 matchup is the catch: Minnesota is allowing 12.8 points per game, fewest in the league.
- FAAB bid: 4–8%
- Fits: PPR flex, more for the coming weeks than for this one.
### Konata Mumpfield, LA (0.3%) Adams' injury leaves the Rams with Puka Nacua and little else at receiver. Mumpfield was the third receiver by snaps Sunday (47%), behind Nacua and Adams, and caught 2 of 3 targets for 15 yards. The more telling game was Week 3 at Denver: 73% of snaps, 8 targets, 4 catches for 93 yards and a touchdown, and 144 air yards. He has 17 targets and 232 air yards for the season. Week 7 is at Las Vegas, which is allowing 27.0 points per game.
- FAAB bid: 1–3%
- Fits: 14-team and deeper leagues, as a bench add for the 6–10 weeks Adams is out.
Tight Ends
### Michael Mayer, LV (14.9%) — top priority at TE We had Mayer on last week's drop list after a 1-target game. Week 6 said otherwise, and we're putting him back on the board. He caught 7 of 9 targets for 95 yards on 79% of snaps against Buffalo, a 23.1% target share, and he did it with Brock Bowers healthy (Bowers also drew 9 targets). He's played 65–88% of snaps every week and has two games with 9 or more targets, with 28 catches on 34 targets this season. The Rams visit Las Vegas in Week 7 allowing 23.0 points per game.
- FAAB bid: 2–5%, or 5–9% in TE premium
- Fits: PPR and TE premium. The Raiders use two tight ends a lot, so he can be a weekly TE2.
### Colby Parkinson, LA (0.8%) Parkinson caught 5 of 6 targets for 31 yards and a touchdown, with 3 targets inside the 20, on 62% of snaps. On the season, 5 of his 13 targets have come in the red zone. Tyler Higbee is still the starter (83% of snaps), so Parkinson's case rests on scoring chances, and Adams' absence takes away one red-zone option from the Rams' passing game. Week 7 is at Las Vegas.
- FAAB bid: 0–2%
- Fits: TE premium and deep standard leagues. He's a touchdown-or-nothing play.
### Tommy Tremble, CAR (0.2%) His 68% snap share was a season high, and he caught all 4 targets for 46 yards and 2 touchdowns, both on red-zone targets, in the 25–14 win at Philadelphia. Darren Waller played 46% of snaps and caught neither of his 2 targets. Tremble had played 48–56% of snaps in his first four games, so watch whether the larger role sticks. Tampa Bay comes to Charlotte allowing 23.0 points per game.
- FAAB bid: 0–1%
- Fits: Deep leagues and TE premium. He's a touchdown-dependent streamer.
DST and K Streamers
- Tennessee DST (vs. CLE) (rostered in 1.5% of ESPN leagues): Cleveland is scoring 17.7 points per game and has taken 24 sacks, the most in the league, with 7 turnovers. Deshaun Watson was sacked 5 times in Sunday's 13–10 win over Baltimore. The Titans have 16 sacks and just beat Indianapolis 26–20. FAAB bid: 1–2%.
- Chicago DST (vs. NE, Thursday) (rostered in 14.9% of ESPN leagues): New England has turned it over 13 times (7 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles) in six games. The Bears have 17 sacks and are allowing 19.8 points per game. The Thursday kickoff means the claim has to clear first. FAAB bid: 0–1%.
- New Orleans DST (vs. PIT, in Paris) (rostered in 3.5% of ESPN leagues): Pittsburgh has taken 19 sacks and turned it over 8 times, and Aaron Rodgers was sacked 5 times at Tampa Bay. The weakness: the Saints are allowing 29.7 points per game. They do have 15 sacks and 9 takeaways. FAAB bid: 0–1%.
- K Chase McLaughlin, TB (at CAR) (rostered in 19.5% of ESPN leagues): 14 of 14 on field goals, including 4 from 50-plus (long of 59), and 11 of 11 on extra points. He made 4 field goals Sunday. Carolina is allowing 24.6 points per game. FAAB bid: 0–1%.
- K Jason Sanders, NYJ (vs. MIA) (rostered in 0.4% of ESPN leagues): 12 of 13 on field goals, with 3 from 50-plus, and he made all 4 attempts at New England. Miami is allowing 26.4 points per game. FAAB bid: 0–1%.
- K Chad Ryland, ARI (vs. DEN) (rostered in 3.7% of ESPN leagues): He made 6 of 6 field goals in the 18–16 win over the Rams. He's 14 of 16 on the season, with a 60-yarder, and 12 of 12 on extra points. Denver is allowing 20.8 points per game. FAAB bid: 0–1%.
Deeper Stashes
Looking ahead: Houston, New Orleans, the Giants, and San Francisco are on bye in Week 8.
- Tyler Huntley, QB, BAL (5.2%): He went 19 of 31 for 165 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions in the 13–10 loss at Cleveland, and ran 5 times for 28 yards. Minter said Jackson could "potentially" practice this week (per BaltimoreRavens.com), so this is a handcuff for Jackson managers in superflex. 0–2% in superflex.
- Tank Dell, WR, HOU (28.0%): Ryans said Dell will be activated from injured reserve and play against the Giants (per HoustonTexans.com). It will be his first game in more than two years, so his early workload is uncertain. 0–2%.
- Chig Okonkwo, TE, WAS (3.6%): He caught all 7 targets for 69 yards on 76% of snaps Monday night, giving him 13 targets over the last two games. Washington is on bye, and McLaurin's scans could leave more targets for him when the Commanders return. 0–1%.
- Jaleel McLaughlin, RB, CLE (7.7%): With Judkins out, he played 62% of snaps and had 9 carries for 41 yards and 4 catches. Judkins was limited in Friday's practice last week before being ruled out (per ClevelandBrowns.com), so this could be a one-week role. 0–2%.
- Will Mallory, TE, IND (0.0%): With Warren inactive, he played 52% of snaps and drew 6 targets with 87 air yards, though he caught only 2. He's worth a look only if Warren misses more time. 0–1%.
Drop Candidates
- Jalen Hurts, QB, PHI: He's on IR, and the blood-thinner treatment rules out contact football while he's on it. Keep him in an IR slot if your league has one. If not, he's a drop.
- Blake Grupe, K, LA: He tore his ACL Sunday and is out for the season (per TheRams.com).
- Jameis Winston, QB, NYG: He was benched after his second interception Sunday, his starting job is now in question, and the Giants are on bye in Week 8. In 1QB leagues the roster spot is worth more elsewhere.
- Pierre Strong Jr., RB, GB: He ran 11 times for 28 yards Sunday night, and Jacobs is back at practice this week.
- Rico Dowdle, RB, PIT: He played 27% of snaps to Jaylen Warren's 75% and ran 7 times. Pittsburgh is on bye in Week 9, and he isn't in a role worth a bench spot.
Set the Order for Your League
These ranges are where to start. Where to end up depends on your league. A 12% FAAB bid on Cooper fits a team with an open flex spot, but it's too much for a team that's set at receiver. In superflex, McKee is worth more than any running back on this list. In TE premium, Mayer belongs near the top of your claims, and in standard leagues Miller and Pierce matter more than any of the PPR receivers.
Homefield can do that sorting for you. Connect your league and we'll order these adds for your scoring, your roster, and your remaining budget. Sleeper and CBS leagues sync live today; Yahoo, ESPN, and MFL are coming. None of this is a guarantee. It's what the usage data says, read for your team.
